The students worked at two residential locations in Lincoln, tidying up gardens and redecorating properties with funds that they had raised; remaining funds were then donated to the charity to provide new carpets for the homes.
The properties, belonging to local homelessness charity, Framework, aim to prepare those with low or no immediate support needs for independent living.
Students took part in the project as part of the National Citizenship Service (NCS) which they enjoy as part of their curriculum.
Richard Thornhill, Learning and Skills Lead for the Air and Defence Career College, said:
“This program is designed to develop teamwork, individual awareness and social responsibility skills.
“Our students have done some fantastic work and should be very proud of their efforts which will make a real difference in our community.”
