Both Will and Tom took the same A-Levels – maths and physics. Both did well, receiving very similar results – Will gained an A* in maths and Tom an A, and both got a grade B in physics
“I enjoyed both courses that I enrolled in,” said Tom. “My teachers for both maths and physics were very helpful and always made sure we had access to plenty of work to improve our knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
“The small class sizes allowed for more one to one time with the teacher and in turn allowed me to grasp concepts better and improve my understanding of the subject in general,” he said.
Tom singled out his maths teacher Adam who has been a huge help this year.
“I'm confident without his knowledge and support I wouldn't have been able to achieve the grade I did and I'm very thankful for all he has done for me, and my brother, this year,” he said.
Will also praised his tutors for their help and support.
“I actually really enjoyed studying my subjects at Lincoln College,” he said. “Adam and Dave, who were my teachers, were very knowledgeable and were always there to help me for any extra questions and provided a lot of support.”
And as well as sharing the same A-Levels, both Will and Tom are due to study their degrees at University of Sheffield, in September, where they will both do mechanical engineering with a year in industry.
