Class of 2023 Celebrate Lincoln College University Centre Graduation

October 11 2023

Graduates and proud friends and family attended Lincoln College University Centre’s annual graduation ceremony held at the historic Lincoln Cathedral on October 11, 2023.

Graduates and proud friends and family attended Lincoln College University Centre’s annual graduation ceremony held at the historic Lincoln Cathedral on October 11, 2023.

The newly graduated students and their families then joined local dignitaries, prominent employers and college staff for the graduation reception at The Drill to continue the celebrations.

Students received their degrees from a wide range of subject areas, including: Business, Computer Science, Construction, Engineering, Teaching, Policing, and unique specialist subjects, Clinical Herbalism and Musical Instrument Crafts

Guest of honour, James Pinchbeck, was awarded companionship of Lincoln College for his contribution to the College and gave an inspiring graduation address, followed by a speech from student, Cat Coffield.

The graduation ceremony comes after the recent news that Lincoln College University Centre has been awarded a top-quality teaching stamp, Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Silver last month.

Lincoln College University Centre offers more than 40 degree-level courses and provides students with small groups sizes, more contact time with industry expert tutors and condensed timetables to fit around students’ jobs.

Lincoln College Group Principal and CEO, Mark Locking, said: “What a fantastic celebration of our incredible Higher Education students and their outstanding achievements! The joy and pride on the faces of our graduates and their families is truly heart-warming.

“Our thanks and appreciation to the tireless efforts of our dedicated teachers. Their unwavering commitment and hard work have been the driving force behind our students' success.

“Join us in applauding our remarkable graduates and expressing gratitude to our exceptional teachers for their invaluable contributions. Let's celebrate the power of education and the bright futures that lie ahead for our students.”

BA (Hons) Professional Policing graduate, Jack Lester, added: “The Professional Policing Degree at Lincoln College has been an incredible experience.

“The level of interesting and diverse content on the course is exceeded only through the quality of teaching, making every subject a pleasure to learn.

“Every member of staff supported and pushed me to attain the highest standards possible, and for that I cannot be more grateful as it has allowed me to reach my aspirations.

“This degree is an extremely valuable step to gain a thorough and expansive insight into Policing and is invaluable for those considering a career in the Police.”

Lincoln College University Centre is still recruiting students to study on its degree courses for 2023 entry. It’s not too late to apply, even if a student has started at another University or college. The fee will be reduced to reflect the later start.
