Deans Sport and Leisure prepares to re-open

July 21 2020

Deans Sport and Leisure will be welcoming members through its doors once again for the first time since the Covid-19 restrictions were introduced.

Staff at the Lincoln College-based centre have been working hard behind the scenes to prepare facilities and make it safe for users to visit from its re-opening on Monday, July 27.

To begin with the gym, on the Monks Road campus, will open along with some classes, with further guidance relating to the spa, racquet sports and club bookings to follow.

Centre manager Frankie Carr said lots of preparation work is being carried out and that the safety of members was paramount.

“We’re delighted to be able to re-open Deans and let members back on site to enjoy our excellent facilities once again. We’ve been working hard to ensure members and staff will be safe and that everyone who visits enjoys their experience.”

As well as enhancing the cleaning of the centre and facilities, other measures to be introduced include limiting customer flow in each of the activity areas, spacing out gym equipment, introducing Perspex screening and the reduction of class sizes.

Each session will be one hour and members will be asked to book in advance online or over the phone.

“We ae confident we are doing all we can to ensure Deans Sport and Leisure is a safe and inviting place to be and we look forward to seeing everyone when we re-open,” said Frankie. “Make sure you follow our social media channels to ensure you keep up to date with all that we are doing.”

Visit Deans website for further details on how to book a session as well completing an essential Covid-19 declaration form.
