Parents - Start Your Career Here

Study your degree with us at Lincoln College University Centre

Applying for a university-level course can be a bit stressful - but don't worry, we can help!

We know that returning to education can be a bit daunting. Don't worry if you've not studied for a while, we have a designated team to support you throughout your studies. Drop in anytime for a chat with one of our experts who'll help you with anything - ranging from your UCAS application to questions on financing your course and qualifications needed.

Our Career Degrees are flexible

  • Condensed timetables - with our condensed timetables, students may choose to work while studying, look after family or enjoy a better study-life balance. Most of the time the timetable will be split across a couple of days during the working week.
  • Small class sizes - our classes are smaller than most universities so students can get more one-to-one time with their tutors.
  • Mature students - our classes are made up of other mature students so students study alongside like-minded people of a similar age.
  • Stay close to home - gain a degree whilst staying close to support networks or raising family.
  • Career degree bursary - A bursary of up to £500 for full-time students and up to £250 for part-time students over the course of their programme to support any aspect of independent study, such as kit or a laptop!

We have courses ranging from business, social science, all the way through to sport and clinical herbalism. Take a look at our full course list here.

Want to discuss your options before making an application - no problem!

We have a few options:

  • To book an appointment with one of our higher education experts email hclayton@lincolncollege.ac.uk
  • Chat to a current student online via our unibuddy platform. Hannah is a mature student and mum to two young girls, and is about to start her third and final year on our Social Science degree. Message Hannah or our other current students to hear more about their experiences.
  • Attend an Open Day
  • Download our Course Guide Prospectus - 2023 Prospectus or 2024 Prospectus

Access to University

If you'd like to start a university-level course, but don't have the UCAS points (such as A Levels or BTEC) you can study the Access to University (HE) course first which is a qualification which prepares students for study at degree level and is the equivalent UCAS points as three A Levels / BTEC.

Successful students achieve a full Level 3 qualification, enabling them to progress to study a Higher Education course at university or college. It is an intensive course, typically run over one year, for students aged 19 and over and especially intended for students returning to education. The courses have been designed to complement those with work and family commitments.

Learn more about our Access to University Courses or download the Access to University 23/24 guide.
