The programme relies on learners having previous knowledge and experience by completing the courses in handbuilding and throwing techniques or having equivalent knowledge and skills. It will be student driven and consists of weekly projects covering spouts, handles, galleries & lids as well as specialist making techniques such as clay inlay (encaustic tiles & sanggam). There will be an introductory first session to create a building using any making technique/s with a floor area of 8cm by 8cm.
You will need to have completed the Introduction to Handbuilt Forms and the Throwing and Self Directed Project courses or have equivalent experience. This course is only available to learners who are 19+
Part Time Evening, Classroom Based.
There is no end exam or formal qualification attached to this course.
