BSc (Hons) Applied Animal Management (Top-Up) is designed to reflect ongoing developments within the animal industry including the use of working animals within society, the need to protect and enhance the habitats and populations of animal species as well as the importance of enhancing animal health and welfare through the use of evidence-driven practice provided by the work of a broad range of animal care practitioners.

The programme is designed to enable students who have already completed sub-degree (eg. HND or Foundation Degree) within this subject area to continue their studies on to Honours Degree level.

Entry requirements

A minimum of 120 credits from:

• Level 5 study in a related discipline 

Plus:

• GCSE English – Grade C/4 or above  

• GCSE Maths – Grade C/4 or above 

*For mature applicants, some experience may be taken in lieu of A Levels/BTECs

 

EU and International Applicants

  • ENIC confirmed equivalent of 120 Credits from level 5 study in a related discipline  

  • IELTS with an overall score of 6.0 and a minimum of 5.5 in each component. Equivalent English language qualifications are acceptable for applicants not requiring a Tier 4 student visa

Other Entry Requirements

Study Details

Full-time, one year. Whilst the majority of the sessions delivered at College will fall between Monday and Friday from 9am - 5pm, it is expected that students are available and willing to undertake activities in the evenings and at weekends.

It is also expected that students complete between three and eight hours of additional independent study per week in order to be successful on this programme.

Progression

On successful completion of this course, students may progress to employment or postgraduate study at an alternative institution.

Per Academic Year

  • Home Students - £8,500

  • International Students - £9,500

Tuition fees will remain unchanged for the duration of a student’s continuous enrolment.
