This is a competence assessment for plumbers and gas engineers who are already registered with Gas Safe.
This core domestic gas safety assessment is designed to test the gas safety of your competence in Core Domestic gas work by practical knowledge and understanding through training and assessment.
Core Domestic Gas Safety comprises fifteen core competencies which are assessed by written and practical tests.
The assessment takes approximately 14 hours and is a combination of practical and theory work.
Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements to attend the course, however you must have access to gas work experience.
All applicants will be expected to take a pre-assessment test to check their suitability for the course.
Assessment & Progression
Theory and practical assessment and a 3.5 hr multiple choice exam.
What You Will Need To Bring
You will require workwear and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will need general stationery equipment.
