This Level 2 Travel and Tourism Programme is designed to prepare students for a career in the travel, tourism and aviation sectors. These sectors are rapidly growing and offer exciting and many different job opportunities. The course will cover a wide range of topics related to travel, tourism and aviation and travel and tourism, including:

  • The UK Travel and Tourism Industry

  • Airports and Airlines

  • Customer Service

Course Content:

The course will cover a range of topics and focus on the study of the travel and tourism sectors. You will also undertake an exciting enrichment programme including trips/visits and guest speakers.

Entry requirements

You will need to have a minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English Language or Mathematics.

On completion of Level 2, you must have attained GCSE Grade 4 or higher in both English Language and Maths to progress to an ASI Level 3 programme.

Study Details

The course will be taught using a combination of lectures, tutorials, and practical work. Students will have the opportunity to learn from experienced and qualified staff, and to use state-of-the-art facilities.

Assessment & Progression

Students will be assessed on their coursework and on written examinations. The coursework will assess students' practical skills and their ability to apply their knowledge to solve problems. The written examinations will assess students' understanding of the theoretical aspects of the course.

Graduates from this course will be well-qualified to progress to a Level 3 Travel and Tourism Programme, or to an apprenticeship or other graduate training scheme in the aviation industry.
