Lincoln College has recently welcomed its newest Norwegian and Swiss cohort for the beginning of the academic year, as A Level students.
International Academic Co-Ordinator, Corinne Hills, says: “Our International students very much enrich our study programme. These remarkably resilient young people bring real value to the college.
“It is a huge step to commit to what is a very important chapter in their education and development, opting to study abroad and undertake the challenges that brings – from settling into a new family environment, communicating in a second or third language and embracing a new culture.
“We are always so very impressed with the strength of character these young people possess.”
As part of their transition to UK study and life, a ‘Welcome Walk’ was organised, to introduce them to Lincoln and also their peers.
Alongside Corinne and Lecturer Samuel Hainsworth, three A Level Student Ambassadors were on hand to ensure our newcomers felt truly welcomed and to answer any questions in order to build rapport to support their year ahead.
A Swiss student remarked: “I’m so happy to be here, Lincoln is such a beautiful place and I’m excited for my year of study here.”
