A group of four cyclists from Lincoln College are hoping to raise charity cash by taking part in the Castle to Coast to Castle “C2C2C” ride on 25th June.
Electrical Installation’s Rob Marr, as well as Wayne Timmins, Automotive’s Ed Hodge, and Mark Gauld, will be raising money for the college's own charitable foundation, which has been raising money for nearly 20 years.
Pink Ribbon claims: “‘The Pink Ribbon Campaign’ surpassed £100,000 in fundraising in December 2024 and supports a great many charities.
“Set up in 2012 after 6 years of fundraising for the breast cancer charity Candles, staff at The Lincoln College Group have been raising cash in a variety of ways.
“Charities that the college has supported include The Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, The Children’s Bereavement Centre, The British Heart Foundation, and many more.
“It would be great if we could reach that target of £1,500, we’re currently around a third of the way there and the training has been a lot of fun in all the extreme weather we’ve been having!”
Rob, Mark and the team have been updating everyone via WorkVivo so far and intend to document the ride on the day.
