College plastering course recognised with national award

The Lincoln College Plastering Department has scooped two top awards at the annual Plaisterers Training Awards Ceremony.

Lecturer Andy Skeet and Technician Brian Wolski were presented with awards for the best Medium Sized Department and Best Regional Department at Plaisterers Hall in London earlier this week.

Brian said: “It’s really great to get this kind of recognition and it’s down to the hard work of everyone in the department.

“We focus on giving students the skills they need to succeed in the workplace and working with local employers to make sure our courses reflect what they need.”

Lincoln College Group CEO Gary Headland said: ““Our mission is to be employer-led, producing a highly skilled and productive local workforce. It is for others to judge the quality and relevance of the education and training we provide and awards like this demonstrate we are succeeding. Huge congratulations to the team.

“We also recently announced that an independent government survey showed we had the highest employer satisfaction rates in the County. We will continue to partner with local employers to ensure our quality and relevance adds recognised social and economic value in Greater Lincolnshire.”
