The event was held to celebrate and promote our successful work experience partnerships with local businesses.
Employers were welcomed by staff and students, with a breakfast prepared by our catering students in our Sessions restaurant.
Vicky is currently studying Retail and Customer Service at foundation level and has an internship at Paper Chase. She attended the event to give guidance and answer questions from employers as an advocate for the opportunities work experience can bring.
Vicky said: “I was pleasantly surprised at how many employers I have seen this morning who have already taken on an intern and how positive their experience appears to have been.
“I was more than happy to give some advice about all the good that comes from taking on an intern.”
David Hornsey from Paint Perfect spoke about what appointing a work placement student with autism has bought to the company.
