Exciting Opportunity for Electrical Students at Newark College, Thanks to City Electrical Factors

Newark College Electrical Installation students recently had an incredible opportunity, thanks to the generosity of City Electrical Factors Newark.

Newark College Electrical Installation students recently had an incredible opportunity, thanks to the generosity of City Electrical Factors (CEF) Newark. The company funded a coach trip for our Level 2 and Level 3 students to attend the TechTalk series at the Sheffield OEC – a prestigious conference where industry leaders, manufacturers, and experts gather to discuss the future of the electrical sector.

The event was invaluable for our students, giving them direct access to experts like Darren Staniforth and Dave Austen, as well as representatives from the IET, the body responsible for the Wiring Regulations. This face-to-face interaction with industry professionals is an exceptional way for students to see the industry in action and build connections.

Paul Gregory, Assistant Principal for Construction & Building Services at Lincoln College, said: "Thanks to the generosity of CEF Newark, our students had an exceptional opportunity to connect with industry leaders and experts. This collaboration shows how vital partnerships between education and industry are in preparing students for successful careers."

The trip also included an exciting surprise – one of our students, Rylie, won an Electric Vehicle Charger worth £350!

We’re incredibly grateful to CEF Newark for their unwavering support. Not only did they cover the transport costs, but they also bring in guest speakers and provide essential industry insights, offering our students invaluable learning experiences. Their commitment to improving outcomes for local electrical students is unparalleled.
