This holiday season, we were thrilled to host a festive fundraising event at Sessions Restaurant, where our brilliant Catering & Hospitality students showcased their skills to successfully raised funds to support their upcoming Turing trip to Denmark, providing them with an invaluable international learning experience.
Our students worked hard to prepare a wonderful selection of festive treats and were eager to share their knowledge with guests. Whether attendees wanted to learn how to make cocktails or indulge in some classic Christmas desserts, the event offered something for everyone.
Highlights of the event included cocktail-making workshops, where guests learned new tricks and techniques from our talented students, as well as had demonstrations in our barista station of classic winter drinks like the Baileys Espresso Martini and Gaelic Coffee.
Level 3 Food and Beverage Service Supervision student Noah Quinn also showcased a fabulous flambé of a Christmas pudding and prepared a classic French Crepe Suzette.
Guests also had the chance to enter a fabulous raffle, with prizes including escape room experiences, a Hair & Beauty package at our on-site Gibney Salon and a meal for two at Sessions Restaurant.
Rick Long, Director of International Operations, said: “We are very excited to receive funding for 38 students across 6 differing subject areas to have life-changing experiences in international settings.
"Learning new skills and knowledge whilst expanding their cultural awareness to become international ambassadors for the UK and Lincoln College. Their experiences will accelerate their learning vocationally and personally, opening opportunities for growth and future employment.”
