Fifteen students from a variety of course programmes took part in the workshop, which is designed to provide participants with the ideas and skills needed to engage others in football. Those who completed the qualification will now be able to facilitate recreational football opportunities for fellow students at college, as well as being able to support football delivery within their local community.
Alice Carter, Lincoln College Sports Project Officer at Lincolnshire Sport said:
“The Football Activator Workshop was thoroughly engaging and enjoyable for the students. It was a pleasure to watch them so focussed, and I know the skills and knowledge they have gained will really support not only their own personal skill set, but also the sustained delivery of football at the college.”
Special thanks to Hannah Lane, Football Development Officer at Gainsborough Town Council, and Mark Oliver from Street Games for their support with this successful event.
