Lincoln College Business and Events Lecturer Named In 30 Under 30 Industry List

One of Lincoln College’s Business Lecturers has been named in a prestigious industry list that recognises excellence amongst the events community.

One of Lincoln College’s Business Lecturers has been named in a prestigious industry list that recognises achievement and excellence amongst the events community.

The Conference News CN 30underThirty list names individuals that the popular magazine considers the best emerging or rising talent, with Lincoln College’s Owen Tonks-Lewis being named among names from across the UK.

The accolade was handed out at a glittering award ceremony at the International Confex, held at the Excel, London.

Owen said: “It’s been great to be recognised, as well as being a lecturer at Lincoln College, I am also the Director of Creative Rebel CIC and I co-curate TEDxBrayford Pool, a showcase of innovative speakers that not only shares ideas to an audience in Lincoln, but worldwide too.

“Being named as one of the 30underThirty by CN is amazing, but I’m most excited about what it can bring to Lincoln.

“Our college courses will benefit directly from the connections that this will make. Some of our learners will be creating their own events schedule, so to have advice and direct input from industry experts is going to be invaluable.”

The judges highlighted Owen’s work on ‘playing a pivotal role in delivering high-impact events that amplify diverse voices and drive social change. With a background in inclusive event design’.

They also praised his passion for ‘creating meaningful experiences that foster community engagement and innovation’ and how he ‘champions open workplace cultures and mentoring young professionals in the industry’.

Owen’s Creative Rebel CIC also works with one of our current Level 3 Management and Adminstration T Level students, Sam Hunt.

Presented by Jack Newey, chief commercial director at Conference News, the list also names events agencies, large corporate event managers and others.
