Talented students based at Lincoln College’s Christ Hospital Terrace (CHT) campus welcomed guests to a private viewing of their end-of-year exhibition, celebrating their hard work over the past academic year.
With a variety of works on display – including fine art, graphic design, photography, multimedia installations, and fashion pieces – the public is invited to visit the exhibition early next week. Visitors will also have the opportunity to purchase items from the pop-up shop.
Location: Lincoln College, Steep Hill, 1 Christ's Hospital Terrace, Lincoln LN2 1LY
Dates: Monday 30th June, Tuesday 1st July
Times: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Lincoln College graduates have progressed to esteemed institutions such as Chelsea College of Art, Birkbeck (University of London), the University of Warwick, Manchester Metropolitan University, and many more. The exhibition provides a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their talents as they conclude their studies and prepare for their next steps.
This week marks the celebration of two milestone events for Level 3 Photography student Ellie Kennedy, who received the College of Art & Design Award at the Further Education Awards Ceremony on Wednesday 26th June. Later in the week, her sustainability-driven work was featured in the end-of-year exhibition.
Ellie lives with Crohn’s Disease – a chronic health condition that often leaves her fatigued and in discomfort, alongside periods of low energy and anxiety. Despite these significant health barriers, Ellie’s commitment to her studies has been remarkable. Her resilience and drive are evident in the way she continues to attend college and contribute meaningfully, even after hospital stays. Her recent involvement in an Art and Design workshop – photographing just days after being discharged – reflects her outstanding work ethic and passion for her craft. Ellie consistently overcomes her health challenges with grace and determination, setting an inspiring example for her peers.
Ellie said: "It's like a family unit at college," – which is why she has chosen to continue her journey by completing a BA (Hons) Commercial Photography degree here at Lincoln College.
