Lincoln College plumbing students scoop up enterprise award

The EBPs Investors In Education Awards celebrate the exceptional work local businesses do with young people.

Reece Hamilton, Jordan Davies, Jordan Skinner, Lewis Daubney and Luke Jenkin won their award for delivering an outstanding session at Construction Week during October – engaging both primary and secondary students and raising awareness of the construction industry.

The College had three nominees in total: Automotive Engineering Lead Pete Jackson, Trowel Occupations Instructor Nigel Spring and five level two plumbing students who were all nominated by schools that attended Construction Week.

Head of Construction at Lincoln College Paul Gregory said: “I’m happy and very proud to say that out of all the nominees from a number of business and training providers it was our students that won the award.

“Well done lads – thoroughly deserved!”

A local school commented on the students saying: “They showed so much passion for what they do as well as patience to communicate clearly with all of our students.

“They are a credit to the course and their families.”
