Lincoln College has been officially recognised by City & Guilds as an EPA Approved Excellence Provider, marking a significant achievement in the delivery of high-quality apprenticeships.
This recognition highlights the College’s commitment to excellence in apprenticeship provision, based on rigorous criteria including operational efficiency, apprenticeship success rates, and the quality of learner engagement and support.
Out of 533 End-Point Assessment (EPA) providers nationwide, including Further Education colleges and independent training organisations, Lincoln College was one of only 7 providers in the Midlands to receive this accolade. The selection reflects the College’s exceptional standards in teaching, learner outcomes, and collaboration with awarding bodies.
Lincoln College is now ranked as the 4th largest EPA deliverer in the Midlands and 12th nationally, a testament to its growing reputation for excellence. The College’s primary areas of EPA delivery include Construction, Engineering, Hair and Beauty, with 135 apprentices expected to undergo EPA assessments between 1st August 2024 and 31st July 2025.
Jon Price, Business Development Manager at City & Guilds, said: “City & Guilds has awarded a small number of providers with the EPA Approved Excellence Plaque. This recognition was given to Lincoln College due to the outstanding teaching, support and outcomes we have consistently observed.
“We are proud of our strong working relationship with the College, and across many apprenticeship standards, they continue to achieve assessment results that are well above benchmark.”
Julie Sullivan, Vice Principal at Lincoln College Group, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be recognised as an excellent provider by City & Guilds. This is a tremendous credit to our curriculum teams who work tirelessly to deliver high-quality teaching and support, and to our apprentices, whose hard work and dedication have truly shone through this year.”
This recognition reaffirms Lincoln College’s commitment to delivering industry-led, learner-focused apprenticeship programmes that help bridge skills gaps and support regional economic growth.
