Parliamentary visit on Turing

We were delighted to host Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Apprenticeships and Skills, Gillian Keegan for a virtual visit this morning.

Gillian was taking part in Number 10's launch of the Turing Scheme, which will replace Erasmus.

A huge thank you to Ann Stanley and Rick Long for their briefings and to former student, Sophie Watson, who did a wonderful job in describing the positive impact Erasmus has had on her life. She did such a great job that the Department for Education has approached her to do some filming with them and she has agreed to act as an Erasmus/Turing ambassador for the College.

The call itself was very productive and the Team identified a number of opportunities and risks associated with the move to Turing.

Gillian and her team were extremely grateful for the session and she has expressed a wish to visit the College in person when restrictions are lifted.
