The annual Professionals in Education Conference, held on Thursday 11 December 2025 at Lincoln College, offered an engaging programme of expert talks and valuable networking opportunities for education professionals across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
The conference brought together dedicated educators from across the region, creating a collaborative space for insightful discussion, shared learning, and professional connection.
A full and engaging agenda featured a range of informative speakers who explored how Lincoln College University Centre supports learners in preparing for their future careers.
Speakers included Kayleigh Moore, Access and Participation Lead at Lincoln College University Centre, who highlighted the benefits of Higher Education, and Stuart Reddington, Vice Principal – Performance, Standards & Student Experience, who shared further insight into student success and progression.
Attendees also took part in a guided campus tour, offering a first-hand look at the University Centre’s modern facilities.
Feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive, with 100% of respondents who completed the post-event survey reporting that the conference increased their awareness of what The Lincoln College Group has to offer.
Rebecca Harper, Head of Personal Development at Acorn School, said: “It is the first time I had received that much information about HE and it helped me understand how we can be more ambitious for students from Alternative Provision schools.”
Jackie Fisher, Careers Co-coordinator at Priory Academies, added: “It was really good to hear more about the Higher Education offer and see the facilities. Though I was aware, I knew very little of this compared to Further Education. Meeting other careers professionals, particularly informally over lunch, was both lovely and useful for sharing advice on practice.”
The conference concluded on a festive note, with Lincoln College’s Catering and Hospitality students preparing and serving a delicious Christmas lunch in the on-campus fine dining restaurant, Sessions, showcasing their culinary talent and spreading seasonal cheer.
Abi Wilson, Schools Liaison and Inclusion Manager at Lincoln College, added: “We would like to extend our thanks to all the attendees and speakers who helped make this conference such a success. It provides a valuable opportunity to come together, learn more about the education sector, and connect with fellow professionals. Together, we can continue to shape the future of education and make a lasting impact.”
