And it was a nostalgic trip back for Max, who was once taught by Jane and Matt Hewitt of Lincoln College’s Creative Arts team, in the very studio he visited.
During his visit on Wednesday, Max helped students run through dance routines, looked at difference dance styles and spoke to them about his experiences during a Q&A session.
“It’s been so nice here and quite nostalgic because I used to train in this room, with Matthew and Jane who work here at the college,” said Max.
“So, it’s been so nice to come back and meet all of the students and to see the incredible talent Lincoln is producing. It’s been so much fun and they’ve all worked so hard.”
“Having Max Jarish here is incredible,” said Matt Hewitt. “Max has worked all over the world as a choreographer and done everything there is to be done and he’s a Lincoln boy, so to get him back to college, to pass on his knowledge, wisdom and experience, to our dancers, is just absolutely invaluable.”
Jane, who was also with students during Max’s visit, said visits like these were incredible important.
“It’s invaluable, especially as Max has been able to reiterate everything we’ve taught and said to our students, which is really great. It’s nice to have someone from Lincoln here, so that our students can see that if they do work hard, there’s no reason why they can’t achieve what Max has achieved.”
