Sport Students Lead Activities for Local Primary School

Students at Lincoln College celebrated World Hello Day on Monday 21st November by leading a range of sports activities for pupils from local school, Monks Abbey Primary.

World Hello Day aims to promote peace and build connections within communities, and the internationally recognised day therefore presented an excellent opportunity for students from neighbouring educational sites to meet and work with each other.

Year 6 pupils from Monks Abbey attended Lincoln College and enjoyed taking part in a Multi Skills circuit led by students studying various sports programmes. All students volunteered their time to ensure the activities were a success, and it also offered them fantastic work experience.

Alice Carter, Lincoln College Sports Project Officer at Lincolnshire Sport said:

“It was wonderful to see both sets of students meeting and engaging positively with each other. Being part of the World Hello Day celebrations emphasised the power sport and physical activity has for bringing people together and building connections.”
