Councillor Metcalfe answered questions around what impacts the new city transport hub will have on tourism, climate change, accident and emergency resources and the issue of increased homelessness on our streets.
The A Level and AS Level students have expressed a passion for media and have chosen to progress with their learning in this area.
The interview was filmed so the learners could watch back and critique their techniques and develop their skills in journalism.
Councillor Metcalfe engaged in open discussion and encouraged the panel to give him a “Jeremy Paxman working over”.
Responses spoke of limitations on funding and the public purse, employer partnerships taking place around city and raising Lincolnshire’s profile to businesses and to other audiences.
Councillor Metcalfe said “Lincoln College plays a very important part in the city's strong further and higher education sector, which helps draw visitors and economic benefit”.
