Health and Wellbeing Support
Life can be tough no matter what your age or occupation but for students in Higher Education it can seem especially tough and loaded with challenges you don’t feel equipped to handle.
Our HE Success Coordinator, Angie Lester, helps supports students through the tough times and also can help with managing studies and indeed life!
We offer a student-centred service, offering you the kind of support students need to reach their potential and succeed on their course.
Coaching
The role of a coach is to work alongside students within a creative thinking process that inspires them to be the best that they can be in many areas of their life.
Students who opt for coaching probably don’t need as much insight, emotional support, or healing; but need to get clarity, make a plan, and take action!
Counselling
Counselling can make a difference by helping students gain greater understanding of painful experiences so they can live freely in the present, unburdened by the past.
The focus is very much on history, as a way of making sense of the present. A central feature of counselling is the exploration of memories, emotions and reactions, looking at how they impact the present and shape the person that you are. Insight gained can help students achieve a deeper understanding of themselves as they address long term pain, hurt, loss and to heal from the past.
