Physical wellbeing is the ability to maintain a healthy quality of life that allows us to get the most out of our daily activities without undue fatigue or physical stress. This element supports staff by providing information and tools to enhance your ability to manage your physical wellbeing.

There are a number of elements to this section of the You Matter offer, including:

    If you are experiencing menopausal symptoms that are impacting your ability to work, you can speak to your line manager and let them know what you’re going through.

    Opening up to someone in a professional environment may feel awkward, especially if your manager is someone you don’t feel comfortable talking to about personal matters.  If you feel like this is the case, contact a member of the People Services Team.

  • Check 4 Cancer

    Check4Cancer is a trusted provider of affordable, fast access cancer tests, offering you personalised screening and diagnostic services.

    Check4Cancer offer 6 unique services for early detection of cancer.

    Early detection of the most common cancers in an affordable way.

    Checks are available for bowel, breast, cervical, lung, prostate and skin cancer.

    Prices for checks are from £80 - £275, all payable over 12 months direct from your salary.

  • Lincoln College HE Sports and Occupational Injury Clinic

    Thursdays (During Term Time)

    Time: 1pm - 3pm

    Deans Building - D202

    The clinic is open to all staff and students and offers a full range of occupational and injury related rehabilitation services.

    The clinic is staffed by undergraduate Sport Therapy students who are under the supervision of a clinical member of the academic staff.

    You will be given a full assessment and treatment, depending on your needs.

    The average length of an appointment is about 30 - 45 minutes.

    Therapy offered within the clinic:

    - Injury assessment, treatment and rehabilitation exercises

    - Injury prevention and performance enhancement training programmes

    - Sports & Remedial Massage
