This is a re-assessment for plumbers and gas engineers who are already registered with Gas Safe. The assessment takes approximately 3 hours and is a combination of practical and theory work. It will test your competence in installing, commissioning and decommissioning domestic gas meters.
We will cover a range of domestic gas meters – Primary or secondary meters of capacity up to and including 6 m3 /h.
The Gas Meter Safety Assessment is designed to test your gas safety competence of domestic gas meter work including:
Installing from new
Exchanging from existing
Permanently removing and commissioning or decommissioning
Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements to attend the course.
You will be expected to take a pre-assessment test to check your suitability for the course.
Assessment & Progression
You will be assessed via a combination of practical and theory work
What You Will Need To Bring
You will need workwear and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will also need general stationery equipment.
