BIOLOGY
Studying biology develops thinking skills, lab skills, and a greater understanding of the human body. It also encourages an appreciation and respect for the environment.
Studying GCSE Biology will give you a good understanding of human biology, organisms, evolution, and the environment.
You will learn how biology fits into your everyday life, with topics ranging from 'Keeping Healthy' to 'Humans and Their Environment' and much more.
This single science GCSE is offered part-time and runs in the evening. It is a course for 19+ learners who need a GCSE in a science subject for career or education progression, such as Teaching. The course is demanding as you will be expected to complete it in one year.

This one year course offers the opportunity to gain the nationally recognised qualification of GCSE Mathematics. The course is suitable for students wanting to study mathematics at this level and who need this specific qualification to progress onto their chosen career.
The standard GCSE Mathematics course studied in school is usually covered over at least two years, this course covers the same topics in a year and so the pace of the work is necessarily high.
ENGLISH
GCSE English Language will enable you to develop the skills you need to read, understand and analyse a wide range of different texts covering the 19th, 20th and 21st-century periods, as well as to write clearly, logically and accurately using a range of vocabulary and sentence structures.
The standard GCSE English course studied in school is usually covered over at least two years, this course covers the same topics in a year, and so the pace of the work is necessarily high.
Assessment & Progression
Assessment is written exams.
Progression, within 2 years students could get to University. After studying the GCSE package for a year, students can study 1 year in Access to HE Health or Science pathway then University.
