Driving a large goods vehicle is a huge responsibility, meaning it’s vital that anyone learning the role has the full knowledge, understanding and skills to manage it responsibly and safely. As part of our HGV Driver Training this course will help you gain the knowledge and skills need to handle large goods vehicles.

Preparation of a vehicle
Planning of delivery
Safe and efficient driving and use of equipment
Use of systems to process goods
Structure of the industry
Awareness of own role
Building relationships
Entry requirements
Must hold a valid UK driving licence.
Must meet minimum age requirements – 19 on the 1st August of the academic year of study.
Must have recent and significant driving experience.
Must pass a medical exam (D4 form signed by a doctor).
Must obtain a provisional HGV licence before practical training.
Be committed to gaining employment as an HGV Driver within 5 months of completing the course.
Course Fees
Can be full funded through Bootcamp or Adult Skills Fund.
