This course will give you the core skills and knowledge to progress through the levels of plumbing and of course, become a qualified Plumber. You’ll study through classroom learning and hands-on tasks.

Copper Pipe Work for Domestic Plumbing Systems
Low Carbon Steel Pipe Fabrication Work for Domestic Plumbing Systems
Plastic Pipe Fabrication Work for Domestic Plumbing Systems
Domestic Plumbing Systems and Techniques for Installing and Securing Plumbing Pipework
Entry requirements
You’ll need to have successfully achieved a minimum Grade 3 GCSE in Maths and English.
We also ask for you to attend a welcome day in which you will have an informal interview, at this event you will carry out a practical taster and will gain further information about the course.
Assessment & Progression
Assessment is a practical through paper-based and online exams.
Progression is onto the Level 2 Foundation Diploma Plumbing course or the Level 3 Plumbing Apprenticeship Standard.
What You Will Need To Bring
You’ll need Workwear and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) from our preferred supplier. A copy of the course textbook: 'Plumbing Candidate Handbook: NVQ/SVQ Level Two Plumbing NVQ 2010' ISBN-: 9780435031312.
You’ll also need general stationery equipment and access to the Internet; PCs are available on campus.
