This course will give you the basic skills for Barbering. You will learn the fundamental knowledge and skills, which will be assessed through practical observations, online knowledge-based exams and assignments.
You will be training in our Gibney Salon at Lincoln College.This course starts in September 2026 and runs until April 2027.
During this course, you’ll cover:
Working in the hair industry
Follow health and safety in the salon
Client consultation for hair services
Shampoo and condition the hair and scalp
Cut men’s hair
Cut men's facial hair
Styling men’s hair
Promote products and services to clients in a salon
Male models will be required for the course.
Entry requirements
You will need a keen interest in the industry and dedication to the course.

Assessment & Progression
Assessment is via a combination of written assessments and assignments.
