Have you ever wanted to write, create and publish your own short film, animation or podcast? This course will teach you how to work with video cameras, professional audio recorders and microphones while editing video, audio or images on our high-end 4k computers.
Upon successful completion, you could progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production, preparing you for employment within the media sector or university.
Lincoln College of Art and Design at Christ's Hospital Terrace (in the Cathedral Quarter) will be your base.
Entry requirements
You’ll need at least three GCSEs preferably including English and Maths at Grade Three or above and a creative portfolio of work that shows your interest in any type of Media for our Level Two course and five GCSEs for our Level Three course.
Applicants are asked to submit a digital portfolio by email or to bring along their portfolio to the Welcome Day which should include three photos taken by yourself with notes to describe the techniques you used and explain the intentions behind your creative decisions. We also ask for a written review of a film you have watched.
Assessment & Progression
There is no exam. Coursework is all internally assessed. The final project is graded pass, merit or distinction.
What You Will Need To Bring
You will require equipment such as: pens, notebooks and stationary. Other materials are required in order to do the course. These will be supplied by the college and you will be required to pay a one-off fee to use these.
