Electricians install and maintain the equipment needed for the safe and efficient use of electricity, including fitting and repairing electrical circuits and wiring.
During this course, you will study various units surrounding Electrical Installations, which will reduce the number of units required on an Advanced Apprenticeship.
This course is ideal for those seeking a career change or those wishing to achieve "Fully Qualified Electrician" status.
Entry requirements
It's preferable you have a minimum of GCSE Level 4 or equivalent in English and Mathematics. Other qualifications and experience will be considered.
Assessment & Progression
Assessment is through a combination of online multiple choice exams and practical assessments.
Successful completion of the Diploma in Electrical Installations programme will provide the qualifications required for the first stage of the Electrical Installation Advanced Apprenticeship. You will also gain an insight into working within the electrical trade. You will also qualify for the Electrical Installations (Building and Structures) Level 3 Course. Successful completion of the level 2 course will qualify you as an electrician’s mate/improver.
