Are you great at practical tasks? Was woodwork your thing at school or a Level 1 course? Maybe you’re looking to become a very handy and skilled tradesperson. If you think this sounds just like you, this course could be for you.
This course is designed to develop your skills and knowledge of Carpentry mostly your practical talents, learning tooling and techniques to construct and install site carpentry. You’ll complete tasks like making and fitting doors and other wooden components.
During the course, you'll learn:
Tooling and techniques of Carpentry
Construction of doors, skirting, architrave, floor joists, roofs, and more
Installation of the wooden components
Entry requirements
You’ll ideally have some previous Carpentry and Joinery - knowledge, and experience or have completed a Year One/Level One course.
Assessment & Progression
Assessment: You’ll be assessed on practical and theory elements, through component creation, as well as written and online tests.
Preogression to Level 3 programmes, apprenticeship or into full time work.
What You Will Need To Bring
You’ll need appropriate workwear, protective footwear, safety glasses and ear defenders. You’ll also need general stationery and access to the internet for the theory aspects.
