Are you thinking of working in the building trade? How about plastering? As a skill that’s needed all over the world, this course could be for you if you want to work with your hands.
This course will allow you to train and qualify at Level 2 by really helping you to develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a very handy tradesperson. Your learning will enhance your confidence to tackle onsite plastering.
During this course, you’ll study:
Plaster finishes
Dry Lining
Sand and Cement Screeds
Backgrounds and Finishes
Entry requirements
This is an ideal starting course for those from the building trade with previous experience, or progressing from the Level 1 course. We look for a Grade 2 in Maths and English.
Assessment & Progression
Assessment: You will be assessed on practical and theory elements, through product creation as well as written and online tests.
Progression from here could be into employment in the plastering trade. You could also become self-employed or move on to an apprenticeship.
What You Will Need To Bring
You’ll need appropriate workwear, protective footwear, safety glasses, and ear defenders. You’ll also need general stationery and access to the internet for the theory aspects. PCs are available on campus.
