Have you ever wanted to write, create and publish your own short film, animation, podcast, TV show, magazine or radio show? This course will teach you how to work with video cameras, professional audio recorders and microphones while editing video, audio or images on our high-end 4k computers.

This course is a great way to get into the creative media industries, to build a portfolio or to progress onto university.

Lincoln College of Art and Design at Christ's Hospital Terrace (in the Cathedral Quarter) will be your base.

Entry requirements

You will need 4 GCSE's preferably including maths and English at a minimum grade 3 and a creative portfolio of work that shows your interest in any type of Media.Level 3 Applicants are asked to submit a digital portfolio by email to include:1) A ‘This is Me’ practical project showing who you are and where your interests lie in creative media production. This could be a video designed for YouTube/TikTok, a short animation, an audio project/podcast or a written/video-based news article.2) An example of a piece of written work from a suitable creative subject, such as Media, Graphics, Art, Photography or English. Assessment & Progression

There is no exam. Coursework is all internally assessed through a combination of interim and formal assessments at the end of each project. The final project is graded pass, merit or distinction. The qualification is equivalent to achieving 3 A levels

What You Will Need To Bring

You will require equipment such as: pens, notebooks and stationary. Other materials are required in order to do the course. These will be supplied by the college and you will be required to pay a one-off fee to use these.
