Level 3 Furniture Design and Making

You’ll need to have successfully completed a Level Two Furniture Making programme or have appropriate knowledge of both theoretical and practical skills and will ideally have experience using both hand and power tools.

You’ll also need to have GCSEs in Mathematics and English (minimum Grade Three or equivalent). A reference may be requested.

Assessment: Assessment is a combination of practical tests and written examinations.

Progression: Successful completion of this programme will provide you with a strong portfolio to establish yourself within the industry, either in employment, self-employment or to progress to a degree course.

You’ll need appropriate workwear, protective footwear, safety glasses and ear defenders. You’ll also need general stationery and access to the Internet for the theory aspects.
