Entry requirements
You’ll need a minimum of five GCSEs at grade Four or above, including English language, Maths and an approved Science-based subject. Or, Mechanical Engineering Level Two at Merit level and English Language and Maths at Grade Four or above.
You should also have a strong interest in mechanical engineering and a passion for learning.
Study Details
Learners will be expected to complete studies through attendance at all timetabled sessions and through revision and out of college assignment and research tasks

Assessment: Your learning is assessed through a combination of Coursework; Assignments and practical projects to demonstrate your ability to apply knowledge and skills and written exams to test your understanding of key theoretical concepts.
Progression
Once you complete this two-year course you have a range of diverse options Including Employment in various roles in the manufacturing sector, such as machine operators, production technicians, and quality control inspectors.
You could also enter into higher education and pursue a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Mechanical Engineering with us here at college or progress to university to study a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
The other option is to secure an apprenticeship programme to gain practical experience while gaining a further qualification.
