Are you interested in a career in construction, specifically in surveying and design? This course starts by helping you get to grips with core knowledge of how the construction industry works, the principles of design and the role of technology and sustainability.
T Levels are the new technical study courses that are designed with employers, to enable you to gain the necessary skills required for the industry needs. This T Level will give you the opportunity to significantly increase the knowledge and skills required to work within the construction sector, with a focus on Design, Surveying and Planning.

Your typical week would include attending college for 4 days and a work placement for 1 day.
Entry requirements
You’ll need three GCSEs at grade Four or above, including English, Maths and Science. You will also need a willingness and drive to undertake the 315 hours of Industry Placement.
Assessment & Progression
Assessment:
In year one, there are three externally set assessments in the Core Component (two 150 minutes Exam Papers, and a 15 hour Employer Set Project) graded A* to U. In year two, there is one externally set, 30 hour assessment for each of the Occupational Specialisms (Surveying and Design) graded P, M, D or U).
ProgressionYou could go on to study a Higher Education course or into employment in the construction industry
Alternatively, you could progress to Level Three Construction Apprenticeships to develop and gain certification of your occupational competence, or you could progress to higher level Apprenticeships such as:
Level Four: Construction Quantity Surveying Technician, Construction Design and Build Technician, Construction Site Supervisor, Acoustics Technician.
Level Six: Building Control Surveyor, Chartered Surveyor, Construction Quantity Surveyor, Construction Site Manager, Design and Construction Management, Architectural Assistant.
What You Will Need To Bring
For this course you’ll need: Classroom - Scientific calculator, A3 drawing bag and drawing kit (pencils, set square, compass), scale rule, own laptop (recommended, but optional), Site - safety boots for site visits
