Eight PT Learners Fight for Fitness in The College Fitness Games

Eight of Lincoln College’s Personal Training learners are set to compete in the finals of Association of Colleges’ College Fitness Games 2025.

Eight of Lincoln College’s Personal Training learners are set to compete in the finals of Association of Colleges’ College Fitness Games 2025 after they qualified through this tough competition during the autumn term.

The College Fitness Games 2025 is a national fitness competition designed exclusively for AoC Sport member colleges and their students. Created in partnership with AoC Sport, The Academy Programme, and JST Compete, the event aims to find the fittest students across the UK while celebrating movement, community, and competition.

Representing Lincoln College are Oliver Mulhall, Liam Briggs, Owen Rafferty, Eamon Schofield-Westby, Harvey Pompa, Romeo Munn, Bogdan Trandafir and Ben Webb, who have all gained impressive marks in three workouts which put them in the top 30 competitors in the UK.

Now the group will travel to Forge Fitness near Sheffield on December 11th to compete in the national finals.

Commenting on their success, Course Coordinator for Personal Training, Conor Tinsley, said: “The eight lad’s who have been successful in this competition have really applied themselves this year and to be in the top 30 nationally, alongside their studies is a great achievement.”

“We’ve been completing the exercises in practical sessions, but the group has also been training with Rob from CR Fitness in Lincoln and collaborating with our sport science students to really improve and prepare themselves. Collectively, we’re really looking forward to the finals now.”

The eight competitors will now continue to train for the finals, including a range of movements, including barbell lifts, dumbbell snatches, and rowing endurance tasks.
