The mechanical engineering learner has been playing archery since he was 11 years old and has been selected to represent Great Britain five times. He has since gone on to compete in the European Youth Cups and was nominated for the Lincolnshire Young Sportsman of the Year in 2016
Louis now specialises in Compound Archery and his hard work and determination have resulted in him being selected for the GB National Compound Youth Squad. His aim is to compete for Great Britain once again and he credits the College for supporting him with his goal.
“My tutors have really supported me with my archery, they have allowed me to be flexible when I need to go away and train with the GB Youth Squad.
“This has helped me to manage my studies around my passion for archery.”
Louis’ tutor, Ross Tarnowski said: “This is an outstanding achievement and I am immensely proud of Louis, especially considering the time that he has to sacrifice in order to practice and train in his sport.
“Louis displays amazing dedication to his course and qualification, alongside his sporting endeavours, and I am elated that he has been given this opportunity to represent his country.”
