What Will the Apprentice Be Doing?
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What You’ll Do at Work
This is a developmental role designed to support the postholder in gaining practical experience and a formal qualification in Business Administration. The apprenticeship will offer exposure to a range of business processes and administrative systems, developing essential professional and organisational skills within a supportive environment.
To provide efficient, professional, and confidential administrative support across multiple departments within Fixfirm, while ensuring exceptional front-of-house service and contributing to the delivery of effective operations.
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
Administrative Support
Provide administrative assistance to the team, including document preparation, filing, scanning, and record maintenance
Support recruitment processes, including job advertising, and monitoring of applications
Support internal communication and engagement initiatives, contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace culture
Finance Administration Support
Assist the Finance team with routine administrative and clerical tasks, including invoice entry, purchase order processing, and document filing
Assist with credit control, building successful relationships with customers and suppliers through positive communication
Maintain accurate and organised financial records for audit and reporting purposes
Provide data-entry and reconciliation support as directed by the Finance Manager
General Office Administration
Support office management tasks including stationery orders, office supplies, and maintenance coordination
Assist with the organisation of internal meetings, training sessions, and company events
Contribute to the improvement of administrative processes and interdepartmental coordination
What Training Will the Apprentice Take and What Qualification Will the Apprentice Get at the End?
The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Level 3 Business Admin.
The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course.
This is a Monthly Release programme, which means you will attend Lincoln College, one day a month, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours.

English and Maths (grade A*/9 – C/4) - Essential

This job will have a large variety of tasks and could proceed into either a career in sales, marketing, accounts or purchasing depending on your skillset.
