Apprentice Hairdresser - Mark Jeffs Hair & Beauty Studios

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Mark Jeffs Hair and Beauty Studios as a Hairdressing Apprentice. This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience, learn from skilled professionals, and start your career in the hair and beauty industry.

What Will the Apprentice Be Doing?

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What You’ll Do at Work

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Consultation

  • Shampoo, condition, and treat the hair and scalp

  • Cut hair using a range of techniques to create a variety of looks

  • Style and finish hair using a range of techniques to create a variety of looks

  • Colour and lighten hair using a range of techniques

  • Perming hair

  • Receptionist skills

  • Helping stylist

  • General good housekeeping

What Training Will the Apprentice Take and What Qualification Will the Apprentice Get at the End?

  • The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Hairdressing at level 2

  • The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course

  • This is a Day Release programme, which means you will attend Lincoln/Newark College, 1 day per week, term time only

  • This will fall within your contracted working hours

After the successful completion of the apprenticeship, there is the potential to progress to a Level 3 apprenticeship and/or full-time employment.

Qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English and Maths (Grade A*/9 – C/4)

Other requirements

The start date with the salon will be discussed after the interview process, and the successful applicant will start College in September 2026.
