What Will the Apprentice Be Doing?
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What You’ll Do at Work
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
Complete tasks as directed by the Production/Workshop Manager.
Assist in the scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance of a range of machinery.
Assist in conducting inspections, testing, and equipment commissioning.
Accurately complete service documentation and records.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
Support Health and safety procedures within working environment.
What Training Will the Apprentice Take and What Qualification Will the Apprentice Get at the End?
The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Level 2 Engineering Operative (Mech pathway).
The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course.
This is a Day Release programme, which means you will attend Lincoln College, one day a week, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours.
What is the Expected Career Progression After this Apprenticeship?
Once qualified there will be the opportunity to become Junior Workshop Technician leading to Workshop Technician.

GCSE in:
English and Maths (grade A*/9 – C/4) - Essential
