What Will the Apprentice Be Doing?
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What You’ll Do at Work
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
Inspection and testing and drawings understanding.
Working with the team to ensure Non-destructive testing is completed per requirements and timelines.
Basic appreciation and understanding of LPV, MPF, LPF.
Basic understanding of NDT equipment and procedures, including calibration and consumable requirements.
Operating a variety of machines (CNC or Conventional); for assembling and repairing machine and press tools.
What Training Will the Apprentice Take and What Qualification Will the Apprentice Get at the End?
The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Level 2 Engineering operations (Manufacturing and Maintenance pathway).
The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course.
This is a Day Release programme which means you will attend Lincoln college 1 day a week, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours.
What is the Expected Career Progression After this Apprenticeship?
NDT Level 1, progressing onto NDT Level 2.
