What Will the Apprentice Be Doing?
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What You’ll Do at Work
1:1 and small group work.
Working in the classroom and implementing programmes of support designed especially to meet pupils’ needs.
To prepare learning materials appropriate to the needs of the pupils.
To regularly record and update information about the pupil’s progress and in particular about support issues.
To work effectively, maintain team confidentiality and provide feedback as appropriate.
Ensure the maintenance of a clean, orderly and safe working environment.
Assist the teacher with learning activities, ensuring health and safety and good behaviour of pupils.
Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security and confidentiality.
Attend regular staff and team meetings as required.
What Training Will the Apprentice Take and What Qualification Will the Apprentice Get at the End?
The apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Business Administrator Level 3.
The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course.
This is a monthly release programme, which means you will attend Lincoln College one day per month. This will take place within your contracted working hours.

Have the ability to relate well to children and adults, understanding their needs and being able to respond accordingly.
Good communication skills to encourage pupils to interact with others and be socially responsible.
Ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues, children and families.
Good communication skills including good skills of written and verbal communication and an ability to practice active listening.
Ability to work creatively and independently.
Enthusiasm, flexibility and self-motivation.
Good timekeeping and attendance
Qualifications
GCSE in:
English and Maths (grade A*/9 – C/4) - Essential
