The Gas Boiler Engineer Training and Assessment Course is tailored for Gas Safe-registered engineers, already registered with Gas Safe. It focuses on ensuring your competency in working with domestic central heating boilers and water heaters up to 70kW. This course combines theory with practical elements, taking approximately four hours to complete.
You will be assessed through a combination of written and practical tests under the Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS). These assessments evaluate your ability as an engineer, to install, commission, exchange, disconnect, service, repair, and respond to breakdowns for domestic boilers and water heaters.
This course is designed to align with mandatory training and assessment standards, meeting industry requirements and maintaining compliance with Gas Safe regulations. It ensures that you possess the necessary skills to safely and effectively work within the plumbing and gas engineering sectors, promoting high safety standards and operational excellence.
Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements to attend the course, however you must have access to gas work experience. You will be expected to take a pre-assessment test to check your suitability for the course.
Assessment & Progression
You will have theory and practical assessments and a short multiple choice exam.
What You Will Need To Bring
You will need workwear and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will also need general stationery equipment.
