Do you love all things beauty? Do you enjoy doing treatments at home, maybe even to showcase on social media? Thought about a career as a Beauty Therapist? This course could be for you

If you want to pursue a career as a beauty therapist and may not have the entry requirements for Level Two Beauty Therapy, this would be the ideal place to start. Taught in our industry standards salons by our experienced staff, you will be in a supported and encouraging environment, developing your individual strengths.

During this course, you’ll learn:

Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector

Presenting a Professional Image

Create a Hair and Beauty Image

Skin Care

Basic Manicure

Basic Pedicure

Basic Facials

You will need 2 GCSE's including English Language (minimum Grade 2) preferably in English language and a keen interest in the Beauty sector.

You will be required to attend an interview/experience day and provide a reference (from an employer or recent school/college report).

Assessment: Assessment is a combination of practical observation, oral questioning, projects, assignments, written tests and portfolio work.

Progression: Completion of this course may allow you to progress onto the Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, Hair or an Apprenticeship programme. This is dependent on meeting entry criteria for the programmes including; a clear disciplinary record, good attendance, positive tutor reference and achievement of GCSE Maths and/or English.

You’ll need workwear and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and kit from our preferred supplier. You will need general stationery equipment and access to the internet; PCs are available on campus.
