As a student at Lincoln College studying Computer Science or IT, you will learn valuable industry skills and experience, including those units listed below among others, along with industry guest speakers and visits/trips to enhance your experience whilst you are with us.
To be clear this is not a course for IT Users we don’t train you to use office products, accounts, or photo editing software.

Entry requirements
You’ll need GCSE Mathematics Grade Five/B, and English Language and three others (minimum Grade Four/C or equivalent). You’ll be asked to attend an interview and provide a reference (from an employer or recent school/college report).
At your interview, you will be required to demonstrate knowledge and practical ability in IT and computing and to provide evidence of previous IT knowledge and skills in the form of a portfolio.
Assessment & Progression
Assessment: Assessment is by written coursework, exam, and external assessment.
Progression: Studying a Level Three computing qualification at Lincoln College can lead to many exciting entry-level job opportunities or progressing to study a Computer Science degree, Institute of Technology Diploma here at Lincoln College, or at a University.
What You Will Need To Bring
You’ll need general stationery equipment, access to the internet, and a PC at home capable of running Microsoft products (specifically Microsoft Visual Studio); PCs are also available on campus.
